An Honour to Be Recognised: Two Award Nominations That Mean the World

I’m deeply honoured to have been nominated for not one, but two prestigious awards this year:

They are:

  • The West Country Women Awards in the Creativity category

  • The Woman Who Awards for Solo Business Owner

To receive recognition is both humbling and incredibly affirming.

These nominations represent more than a line on a CV: they reflect years of perseverance, independent vision, and a commitment to building something meaningful from the ground up.

For anyone who has ever run a business solo, you’ll know it takes equal parts resilience, resourcefulness, and relentless passion.

Creativity is at the very core of my work; not simply in the technical sense of creating portraits, but in crafting visual narratives that help individuals and brands see themselves more clearly and more powerfully.

It’s a space where intuition, storytelling, and psychology intersect, and being recognised for this approach, especially by the West Country Women Awards, is a true privilege.

Equally, to be named among the finalists for the Woman Who Awards as a solo business owner holds particular significance.

The entrepreneurial journey is often a lonely one, requiring not only vision, but courage and conviction.

This recognition is a moment to pause and reflect on how far I’ve come and how much further I intend to go.

But above all, what stands out to me most is the company I’m in.

These awards shine a light on some of the most talented, driven, and accomplished women in business today.

To be included alongside them is both an honour and a joy, regardless of the outcome.

So while I’m immensely proud of these nominations, I’m even more inspired by the collective force of women being recognised, each of us carving our own paths, lifting each other up, and reimagining what leadership and creativity in business can look like.

Whatever happens next, I’m genuinely grateful to be part of this celebration.
