This Is 50 and Beyond: Strong, Sassy, and Unapologetically You!
There’s a moment that happens in nearly every 50 Over 50 Amazing Women Project session, and it never fails to move me!
It’s the moment when…
a woman takes a slow, steady breath, lowers her shoulders, closes her eyes, and finally allows herself to just be.
For many of the women I photograph, it’s been years, sometimes decades, since they’ve truly done something for themselves.
We’ve spent so long putting others first: partners, families, work, responsibilities.
The truth is…
Somewhere along the way, we stopped seeing ourselves as the vibrant, beautiful, powerful women we are.
That’s what this project is about: creating space for women over 50 to rediscover themselves.
When they walk into the studio, they often tell me they “hate being photographed” or that they “don’t know what to do.”
But with a little pampering
a touch of expert direction, and a relaxed, fun atmosphere, that self-doubt fades.
They laugh. They shine. And they remember.
What follows is transformation; not just in the portraits, but in the energy that fills the room.
Confidence returns.
Joy surfaces.
There’s a sense of coming home to oneself.
This project gives women permission to put themselves first, without guilt, regret, or shame.
It’s about celebrating everything you’ve become and everything you still are: strong, resilient, wise, and gloriously unapologetic.
The 50 Over 50 Project will officially close on 20th March 2026, and I currently have two photo shoot slots available in the first two weeks of December.
