The Studio Is Reopening – A New Chapter Begins!

There are moments in life when everything pauses unexpectedly. Over the past months, that was my reality.

Following treatment and time in hospital, I’m very happy to share that I’m now on the mend and have a discharge date. It has been a long and sometimes difficult road, but it has also been a time of reflection, gratitude, and looking ahead to what matters most.

One of the things I’ve missed the most is being in the studio, camera in hand, creating portraits and meeting the wonderful people who step in front of my lens.

So it gives me enormous pleasure to say:

The studio will officially reopen, and photo shoot bookings are now open from 1 June.

Taking Time to Return Well

Before jumping straight back into work, I’ll be spending mid-April and May settling back in at home and regaining my strength.

Before jumping straight back into work, I’ll be spending mid-April and May settling back in at home and regaining my strength.

This time will also allow me to prepare the studio for reopening and work through the finer details behind the scenes so that everything is ready.

Returning thoughtfully is important to me; so when I welcome clients back into the studio, I want the experience to be exactly as it should be — calm, creative, personal, and enjoyable.

My photography is about connection, trust, and creating something meaningful together. That’s something I value deeply, and it deserves the right pace and attention.

Looking Forward to Seeing You

One of the things I’m most excited about is meeting new clients and welcoming back those who have already trusted me to create their portraits.

Whether you have been thinking about:

  • A personal portrait session

  • A branding photo shoot

  • Taking part in the 50 Over 50 Portrait Project

  • Or simply creating beautiful photographs to celebrate a moment in your life

I cannot wait to start creating again.

Being a portrait photographer means having the privilege of capturing people as they truly are — their strength, their personality, their story. After stepping away for a while, returning to that feels incredibly special.

If You Had a Session Cancelled

When I had to go into hospital unexpectedly, several photo shoots had to be postponed or cancelled.

I know many of you had already been looking forward to your sessions, and I’m so grateful for the kindness and patience you showed during that time.

If you were one of the clients affected, I would be delighted to reschedule your portrait experience from June onwards.

Your place in my diary is absolutely still open.

Booking Your Photo Shoot

Sessions from June onwards are now open for booking. As I ease back into the studio, availability will be more limited than usual, particularly over the summer months.

If you have been considering a portrait or branding session, now is the perfect time to start the conversation and secure your preferred date.

To book your photo shoot or enquire about availability, simply get in touch through the website or send me a message.

A Personal Note

This past season has reminded me just how much I love the work I do and the people I get to meet through it.

Photography has always been about celebrating people and their stories, and I’m genuinely excited to return to that again.

Thank you to everyone who has sent messages of support and encouragement along the way. It has meant more than you might realise.

I’m looking forward to opening the studio doors again very soon — and hopefully welcoming you in front of the camera.

Here’s to new portraits, new stories, and a wonderful return to the studio this June.
